TEDで学習の巻
いつまで経っても生の音が聞き取れない。いつか聞き取れるようになると信じてもう10年も経ってしまったのでそろそろコテ入れします。

とりあえずTEDを学習用の素材にしようしたいと思います。ずっと前にTEDICTというアプリ買ったの忘れてました。
一気にやっても続かないのでちょっとずつ。without haste, but without rest
最初にナチュラルで聴いて
わからない箇所を明確にする
今回は learner? て箇所
→正しくは all earners でした。
後、語彙でgrab an ever-increasing share of the economic pie? って脳内で全然変換されない。
→かつて無いほどの経済活動の利益全体の分け前を掴む
むずぃぃ。学習用の教材で(TEDもそうだけど)ぬるま湯に浸かってきたツケが辛い
I have been staying in a conform zone for a long time. Exposing myself out of my comfort zone is now necessary.
これまた、続くのかが肝ですが、そのためにblogを始めたんだから頑張りましょう。

こんにちは。10月19日火曜日です。
TOEICの日ですね。
目標は990点です。オール満点の！
来年の夏ごろは少し飲みすぎでもサクッと満点取れるような人間になりたいです。
あと栄養剤に頼らない。今は660円くらいのアリナミンロイヤルを飲んでる。効果はいかほどなのかわかりませんが。

山場を越えたシャドーイングも少しず習慣になってきました。
This challenge has become a part of my routine, and these days, I'm doing shadowing while doing housework, such as preparing dishes, making a lunch box for my daughter, or doing laundry.
10月17日(日) 基本的に休日の勉強時間の確保は難しいですね。妻に平日にもっとやれとおこられる日々です。 My partner scolds me when I try to study on weekends because she knows I have enough time to do that on weekdays.

ここ二日間でシャドーイングした、Tamarisk trees についてRecap writing をします。
Tamarisk trees had been planted in the Northeastern United States until people doubted their effectiveness. Tamarisk trees have long roots to keep dirt from erosion, but people thought they needed a massive amount of water to grow. Therefore, the salt level around the trees became high. Some ecologists, however, argued against the claims and pointed out the high level of salt was caused by dams made by humans. As a result, when there was no flood to wash the salt away, it accumulated in the river's soil. But the efforts to eradicate Tamarisk trees are in progress. とかそんな感じの内容だったかなぁ。

専業主夫って仕事はあるけど、報酬はない。
A full-time husband has numerous jobs, but there is no reward except for the words. Therefore, even a simple word is crucial for me, like "Thanks."

Shadowing とTOEICもろもろ。
三日坊主でおわりそうな【シャドーイング１００万語】も２日目。山場を迎えています。
三日坊主：can't stick とか 山場：hardest part
本日は車を長距離運転する機会があったので、行きはTOEICのPart2 を 正答率は９２％。（しばらくさぼってたので、記憶で答えていた問題はしっかり間違えました。リスニングができてないってことが分かったのでよかったのかと。）
例えば、
Haven't we already passed the exit?
(A) I'm sure I bought a pass.
(B) We're all ready.
(C) No, it's just ahead.
(A), (B) は音で誤答へ操作してます。質問がまったく理解できてないので、容易に私は（Ｂ）で完璧✖です。
passed the exitで「出口を通り過ぎた」ってなじみがなさ過ぎて、全然脳の理解が追い付いてない状態です。
車でのシャドーイングは英検１級のパッセージ問題をひたすら１時間くらいやりました。 writingの向上もかねて、ここでＲecap writing 。内容は合ってないです。
The passage is written about 'Muzak.' It is a form of stimulus music for the people in the elevator to calm them down or make customers feel enjoyable in a store.
The purpose of the invention of Muzan, however, was different from now. The muzak was created to motivate workers to work hard. But one executive found that workers tend to sing and clap along with the music without concentrating on what they have to. After that, a different system of muzak was invented, which uses music intentionally. Thanks to the new system, workers' productivity increased by 9 percent.
In the 1950s, however, the popularity of muzak had dropped when people began to think it was a form of brainwashing. Therefore, now, the frequency of usage of muzak was decreased.

思い立ったらなんとやら。Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
今まで言語習得において音読の効用は（自分の経験を踏まえ）totally agreeですが、実際に「証拠は？」って言われたら、汗ですね。
So far, I believe blindly 'reading aloud' is effective for language acquisition because many people have said that and my experience. But, I don't have any scientific evidence about it. If you know, please let me know.
でも、とりあえず、今は我武者羅（frantically) にやりたいので、１００万語shadowingにchallengeしたいと思います。
【Local rule】
① wpmは１３０語とします。だいたいそれくらいが自分にとって一番心地よくshadowingできるから。（本当はもっと速いと思います。ポーズとか加味して）
②一日のノルマは設定しません。できるときにやるだけです。
【Objective】
①Listening とSpeaking 力の向上
② pronunciationの向上。発音検定EPT®で『指導者レベル』のスコアがほしい
→現在は「７１」：ぎりハイレベル。汗
③やぱ隙ありゃ、音読でしょ。という盲者の理論に乗って、安心するため。

TOEIC～abceed模試（50問）5連発～
日曜日に英検を受けて、満足して普通にさぼってました。
I took the Eiken exam last Sunday and felt a little tired, so I didn't want to take the mock test from Monday. But it a just excuse..... I joined drinking party on Monday and end up breaking my routine.
6月に比べると、正答率は上がってますが、（だいたい6月は平均４４-５点）英語力が上がったというのもありますが、TOEICに慣れてきたことと、既出問題を解くことが増えたのが理由だと思います。
Compared to June, when I started to study TOEIC in earnest, the percentage of correct answers has increased. One of the reasons is that my English proficiency has improved (about 44-5 points on average in June), but actually, I could answer the problems I tackled previously.
少しマンネリ化しているので、来週の日曜にまでに負荷をかける必要があります。Part2 一発聴きDictationはいい感じです。今日は、payroll departmentを瞬時にhuman departmentと書いていて、「聞き覚え」がないと、勝手に脳みそは違う単語を（音素レベルでなく）持ってくることに気づきました。怖い怖い。意味違うのに。
マンネリ化：getting stuck in a rut (これはTEDの30日challengeの冒頭に出てきましたね）
とまぁ今日はここまで。
追記：ゴミ出しも掃除も結局自分の気持ちの整理につながる。：専業主夫の一言

【Reading】 語彙18/25 長文12/16：30/41（73%）
【Listening】 8/10, 6/10, 4/5, 1/2 ：19/27 (70%)
【Writing】 Can individual privacy be protected in the modern world?
→AIによるハッキング、SNS、ハッキンググループの躍進（？）の3観点から記述
Ｗritingに30分くらい使ったので、Readingに焦りを感じた。Long passage はほぼ書いている内容が頭に入ってこなくて、オワタってなりました。完全回答の気持ちは捨てて、残り時間で読めるところまできっちり読んで、2/4。（汗）実力不足を強く感じた瞬間。
【感じたこと】
Reading中にやはり、語彙力不足を感じました。e.g. striolated puffbird, taxonomy(見たことあるけど、なんだっけ) nuances detectable (かすかに感知できる？知らん), arbitarary, continuum, など（Part3：The Classification Debate ）
・striolated puffbird: キリハシ（もちろん知らなくても解答できる）
・taxonomy : the branch of science concerned with classification（本文中に英英はでてきている）→腑に落ちない。なんど「分類化学？」：分類法（正式日本語訳）
・nuances detectable：意味がでてこない。おそらく、細かな違い（分類上検知できるかすかな違い、みたいな）
・arbitaray：独断的な（見たことある。意味出てこなかった（ダメなところ））
・continuum: a continuous sequence in which adajacent elements are not perceptibly different from each other. だから？かっこつけて英英のせたところで腑に落ちんぞ。：連続性、連続体 （本文だと、連続体に人工的な分断を入れる）みたいな。
【結論】
①語彙強化と長文読解の訓練は必要。（1億光年前から知ってること）
②writingの練習（同上）
③リスニングはTOEICで力が付いたと実感（特に状況問題Part3）(えぇ、この正答率でもです)
④体力もTOEICのおかげで付いた。
【今後の対策】
①・語彙強化はabceedをやりましょう。（問題数とかはこれから決める）
・長文はやっぱり読まないとだめですね。一日一問でも丁寧にやりましょう。（言うは易し、ってやつですね。it's easier said than done, saying is easy; doing is hard）abceedでやってもいいけど、画面ちっちゃいからな。（考え中）
②なんか写経もただ書くだけでも足りないと感じる。もっと洗練された練習を。と思う けど、量は質をなんとやら。Quantity is more important thatn quality ?
本買うか？迷う。検討中。
【追記】
合格かどうかはwritingしだかなぁっと、実力できっちり合格したいから今回はちょっと残念とかいうけど、受かってないと家族からバカにされる。嫁からは怒られるので、受かってるに越したことはない。どうか合格してますように。

歴史関係のパッセージ苦手というか、読むの苦痛だから対策しないと。
かれこれ、5年くらい進歩がない。このままだと一生「並」で人生終わるぞ。
